Russian dictator vladimir putin will not stop hostilities against Ukraine and will not sit down at the negotiating table as long as his troops advance and make some progress in capturing territories.
El Pais writes about it.
Russia is advancing through Ukrainian territory, although it is suffering very heavy losses. According to the editors of the publication, if the West does not strengthen its support for Ukraine, it will be very difficult for the state to repel russian aggression and participate in peace negotiations when the appropriate time comes.
"If Kyiv does not receive more support, everything indicates that it will not only be unable to continue repelling the russian invasion, but will not even be able to participate in peace talks. At least those that are not synonymous with surrender. Putin will not want to sit down at the table negotiations, as long as he believes that he has prospects for progress, even at a high price," the article says.
The authors note that the russian occupiers are advancing at the cost of great humiliation for putin, as they cannot liberate part of their Kursk Oblast. Europe cannot refuse to support Kyiv not only because of the moral obligation to protect international law, but also because of its own interest in ensuring that putin's aggression does not achieve its goals on the eastern border of the Union, the authors write.
"There will be no peace if Ukraine does not have the means, necessary for the aggressor to understand, that it would be worse for him to continue the aggression, than to stop it," the publication summarizes.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on October 18, russian dictator vladimir putin stated that the aggressor country of russia is allegedly ready for negotiations with Ukraine, but only on the basis of the so-called "Istanbul" agreements.
On September 17, the head of the National Intelligence Organization of Turkey, Ibrahim Kalin, said that the solution to the russian-Ukrainian war should be the construction of a new security architecture.
It will be recalled that on October 16, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy publicly presented the five-point Victory Plan.
