The Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Dick Schoof, said that his country will allocate EUR 271 million for the supply of large-caliber artillery shells to Ukraine.
Schoof wrote about this in his X account (formerly Twitter).
He reminded that last year the Netherlands together with the Czech Republic and Denmark started an initiative to supply ammunition to Ukraine.
"Denmark, the Czech Republic and the Netherlands are determined to jointly support Ukraine against russian aggression <...> And today we are taking a good next step," Schoof wrote.
According to him, Amsterdam will allocate EUR 271 million for artillery shells, which will help Ukraine with the supply of ammunition in 2025.
It will also be a growth driver for the European defense industry.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in early October it became known that the defense concern KNDS (a joint venture between France and Germany) will produce artillery shells in Ukraine.
It will be recalled that the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov stated on September 23 that every second piece of ammunition used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the front was produced by Ukraine.
