Leader of Nicaragua calls Zelenskyy and Netanyahu sons of devil and Hitler

The leader of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega, in his speech on the occasion of honoring the country's law enforcement agencies, called the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu "sons of Hitler".

Politico writes about this with reference to the Nicaraguan mass media.

"The Prime Minister of Israel is Hitler <...> Just like the President of Ukraine is another Nazi, another son of Hitler who wants to drag NATO into a war against the russian federation," he said.

Ortega also called Netanyahu "the son of the devil" because he allegedly pursues a policy of terror. He was probably referring to Israel's military operation in the Gaza Strip.

As Politico writes, Nicaragua has long maintained close ties with Moscow, when it supported the overthrow of the regime by rebels led by Ortega in the late 1970s.

Ortega himself has been in power since 2007. He is considered a dictator who imprisons his political rivals and controls state institutions.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in March 2024, the self-proclaimed president of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, called Zelenskyy a "nit".

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry commented on Lukashenko's words, calling his insult to Zelenskyy "an act of impotence."

We will remind you that in the spring of 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the russian federation Sergey Lavrov called Jews "the most ardent anti-Semites" and compared Zelenskyy to Hitler.
