In January-September 2024, compared to the same period last year, the UkrGasVydobuvannya and Ukrnafta companies, which are part of the Naftogaz group, increased the production of commercial gas by 6.8%, or by 0.7 billion cubic meters, to 11 billion cubic meters.
This is stated in the message of the group, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"We continue to increase Ukrainian gas production. This heating season, like last year, we plan to provide the population of Ukraine and other categories of natural gas exclusively with our own resources. Currently, we exceed the planned production volumes by 2%. I am grateful to the teams that, even despite the war, we manage to achieve our goals. We support the trend the development of Ukraine's energy independence in the future," said Oleksii Chernyshov, head of the Naftogaz group.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Naftogaz plans to produce 15 billion cubic meters of gas in 2024 at the expense of the UkrGasVydobuvannya and Ukrnafta companies.
In 2023, UkrGasVydobuvannya produced 13.5 billion cubic meters of gas, and Ukrnafta increased gas production by 6% to 1.097 billion cubic meters.
