The gap between Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris and Republican candidate Donald Trump is narrowing. According to the results of the latest poll, Harris is ahead of Trump by a slight 3 points - 46% to 43%.
This is evidenced by the results of a Reuters poll.
It turned out that Trump has more favor on economic issues. And some voters agree with Trump that illegal immigrants in the country are prone to crime.
Respondents named the economy as the main problem facing the United States. About 44% said Trump has a better approach to solving the "cost of living" problem (compared to 38% who chose Harris).
Voters mostly want solutions to economic issues, including the cost of living, the labor market, taxes and improving personal finances. Trump had more support than Harris in each of those areas, although voters by a margin of 42% to 35% thought Harris was the better candidate to bridge the gap between the wealthy and average Americans.
About 53% of respondents agreed with the statement that "immigrants who are in the country illegally are a danger to public safety," compared to 41% who disagreed. In a May Reuters/Ipsos poll, voters were split on the question, with 45% agreeing and 46% disapproving.
It will be recalled that Trump declared that he has a good relationship with the russian dictator putin. Zelenskyy replied that he hoped that relations with him were still better [than with putin].
Trump also said that he does not consider his strategy to end the war, which was started by russia, to be a "surrender".
Also, Trump is preparing a set of reasons to challenge the results of the 2024 presidential election, in the event of a loss.
