Energy workers restore power supply line of Zaporizhzhia NPP

On Wednesday, October 2, energy workers restored to operation the damaged second power transmission line through which the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (Enerhodar, Zaporizhzhia Region) receives power from the Ukrainian power system.

The press service of the Ukrenergo National Power Company has said this in a statement on Telegram, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"The 330 kV overhead line damaged by Russian shelling is back in operation. It should be noted that yesterday (October 1) due to a Russian attack on an energy facility, one of the overhead lines supplying the Zaporizhzhia NPP was damaged. Repair crews waited for more than a day for permission to start repairs and restore power. Due to constant shelling from the occupiers, it was only possible to get permission to carry out the work today (October 2)," the message says.

Thus, the currently occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP is able to receive electricity from both the main and backup lines.
