Zelenskyy introduces First Deputy Minister of Defense Havryliuk to Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed First Deputy Minister of Defense Ivan Havryliuk to the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.

This is stated in Decree No. 678 of October 1, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

It is noted that the corresponding decision was made on the basis of the proposal of the National Security and Defense Council.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in May the Cabinet of Ministers promoted 53-year-old Deputy Minister of Defense Ivan Havryliuk to First Deputy Minister of Defense.

In October 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Havryliuk as Deputy Minister of Defense, then Defense Minister Rustem Umerov introduced him as Deputy Minister on Military and Technical Policy.

In September, Zelenskyy already changed the composition of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.
