As of September 27, agricultural enterprises harvested 34.3 million tons of grain, 13.6 million tons of oil crops, and 2.5 million tons of sugar beet from an area of 14.2 million hectares.
This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
So far, 22.3 million tons of wheat have been threshed on an area of 4.9 million hectares, 5.5 million tons of barley have been harvested from an area of 1.4 million hectares, 4.7 million tons of corn have been harvested from an area of 920,700 hectares, and 465,300 tons of peas from an area of 212,200 hectares.
In addition, 147,800 tons of millet were threshed on an area of 77,700 hectares and 115,500 tons of buckwheat on an area of 78,300 hectares.
Also, 3.5 million tons of rapeseed were threshed on an area of 1.3 million hectares.
6.6 million tons of sunflower seeds were threshed on an area of 3.3 million hectares, soybeans - 3.5 million tons on an area of 1.6 million hectares.
Agricultural producers of the Odesa Region - 4.2 million tons, Poltava Region - 2.9 million tons, and Dnipropetrovsk Region - 2.5 million tons are the leaders in terms of gross grain collection.
The agrarians of the Khmelnytskyi Region are ahead in terms of productivity with an indicator of 65.5 t/ha, Bukovyna - 60.1 t/ha, and Ivano-Frankivsk Region – 58.9 t/ha.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, farmers have started harvesting early crops.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food predicts a decrease in the harvest of grain and leguminous crops by 6.7% to 56 million tons in 2024 compared to 2023.
