British intelligence reveals consequences of drone attacks on warehouses in Tikhoretsk and Toropets for RF

The strikes on the ammunition depots in Tikhoretsk and Toropets of the russian federation became the largest loss of russian and North Korean ammunition during the war. This is likely to lead to further decentralization of the russian logistics chain.

This was announced by the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain.

Thus, on the night of September 20 to 21, 2024, Ukrainian troops struck russian ammunition depots in Tikhoretsk in the Krasnodar Krai and another facility in Toropets in the Tver Oblast with UAVs. This followed an earlier successful strike on another warehouse in Toropets on September 18, which almost certainly destroyed at least 30,000 tons of munitions in open and bunker storage.

"These strikes will almost certainly cause at least a short-term disruption in the supply of russian artillery and small arms ammunition - critical resources in a war of attrition dominated by mass fires. The total tonnage of munitions destroyed at the three sites is the largest loss of russian and of North Korean munitions during the war," the report said.

These powerful strikes in a row are said to demonstrate that, despite russia deploying an extensive air defense system (including fighter jets) around Ukraine, it continues to have difficulties with Ukrainian UAVs used in deep-strike operations on russia.

"It is very likely that this will lead to further dispersal of the russian logistics chain due to fears of additional strikes, which will increase the load on an already stretched system," the intelligence added.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, meanwhile, on the night of September 29, the Defense Forces of Ukraine attacked the Kotluban military arsenal in the Volgograd Oblast of the aggressor country of russia. Shortly before the strike, a warehouse with Iranian-made missiles arrived there.
