Shortly before strike, warehouse with Iranian missiles arrived. General Staff confirms attack on Kotluban arsenal

On the night of September 29, the Defense Forces of Ukraine attacked the Kotluban military arsenal in the Volgograd Oblast of the aggressor country of russia. Shortly before the strike, a warehouse with Iranian-made missiles arrived there.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has stated this, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"Tonight, a defeat was inflicted on the arsenal of storage and modernization of missile and artillery weapons of the Russian occupiers, which is near the village of Kotluban, Volgograd Oblast," the message reads.

It is noted that the arsenal had dense cover by means of air defense and electronic warfare. Despite this, the Ukrainian military managed to successfully hit the object.

As a result of the impact, a fire started on the territory of the arsenal, which was accompanied by the detonation of ammunition.

The attack on the arsenal in Kotluban was carried out by units of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Special Operations Forces, the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine.

Earlier today, a number of mass media reported with reference to their own sources in the Defense Forces of Ukraine that 120 Ukrainian-made drones were used for the attack on the arsenal.

The arsenal was attacked at approximately 2:30 a.m. on September 29. It is located more than 600 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.

Recall that, according to the Center for Countering Disinformation, missiles that russia received from Iran for use in the war against Ukraine could be stored at the arsenal in Kotluban.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on September 10, the U.S. confirmed that russia had received missiles from Iran. Washington promised Tehran sanctions for helping the aggressor country.
