The number of killed as a result of the enemy attack by Shaheds on the city of Sumy has increased to 9 people, injured - to 19, rescuers have completed rescue and search operations.
The Sumy Regional Military Administration, the State Emergency Service and the Ministry of Health announced this on Telegram, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"The death toll from the morning enemy attack on medical facilities in Sumy has increased. So far, it has been established that 9 people were killed, 12 suffered injuries of varying degrees of severity," the Sumy Regional Military Administration said in a statement.


Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health clarified that as of 1 p.m., there were 9 killed and 19 injured.
One of the killed is a nurse.
"Among the seriously injured are two medical workers: a doctor and a nurse who were in the reception department. They are currently being operated on," the Ministry of Health added.
The ministry also said that the reception department of the hospital was destroyed by an enemy strike, and one of the floors and the roof of the building were partially destroyed.
In turn, the press service of the State Emergency Service reported details about the russian attack on Sumy.
It is noted that the first blow of the enemy hit the medical facility, as a result of which the hospital building suffered significant destruction and damage, and several sources of fire appeared.
When rescuers were evacuating patients from the medical facility and extinguishing fires, information was received about the threat of a second strike.
"Employees of the State Emergency Service had time to leave. This time, the enemy hit was near the epicenter of the event between two five-story residential buildings," the report says.
Employees of the State Emergency Service evacuated the residents from the damaged residential buildings and eliminated the sources of combustion.
"Rescue and search operations have been completed. A total of 122 people were evacuated. Emergency recovery operations are ongoing," the State Emergency Service concluded.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on Saturday morning, the occupiers hit Sumy twice with Shaheds.
Minister of Interior Affairs Ihor Klymenko said that as a result of the first enemy attack, the ceiling of several floors of the hospital was destroyed.
Rescuers and police officers arrived at the scene of the attack to help people.
During the evacuation of patients, the enemy struck the hospital again.
