On the night of September 27, the russian federation announced an attack by drones on the city of Novoshakhtinsk in the Rostov Oblast, and air defense was operating in the region. As a result of the fall of the debris of a drone, a fire broke out.
The governor of the Rostov Oblast, Vasyly Golubev, reported this.
The drone attack in the Rostov Oblast was complained about around midnight. Later, explosions rang out in Novoshakhtinsk. Local authorities announced the work of air defense forces.
"In total, 7 UAVs were destroyed near Novoshakhtinsk this night. As a result of falling debris, the grass in the field caught fire. The fire was quickly extinguished by emergency services. No victims or damage on the ground were recorded," the head of the region wrote.
According to local sources, the wreckage of the UAV fell next to the power line.
According to detailed information, the Novoshakhtinsk’s Novaya Sokolovka neighborhood was attacked by drones. Next to it is the Novoshakhtinsk Oil Refinery.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the consequences of the July 31 strike on the base of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the russian federation near Kursk appeared on satellite images.
The drone attack led to a large-scale fire and several detonations that caused at least 16 local earthquakes.
The explosion and the subsequent spread of smoke from the large-scale fire were visible from space.
