The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Jan Lipavský, urged not to give in to new russian intimidation with nuclear weapons. He emphasized that this is part of the Kremlin's propaganda aimed at curbing support for Ukraine.
He announced this on the X social network.
Threatening the democratic world with nuclear weapons has been a cornerstone of Kremlin propaganda. Its goal is to deter support for Ukraine and enable Russian occupation. Adjusting Russia's doctrine to ease nuclear use is part of this intimidation. Let’s not fall for it.

It will be recalled that on September 25, russian dictator vladimir putin proposed to change russia's nuclear doctrine, allowing the use of nuclear weapons in the event of a mass drone attack on the russian federation. He also suggested that aggression by a non-nuclear-weapon state involving a nuclear power should be treated as a joint attack.
As Ukrainian News Agency reported, earlier the head of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) William (Bill) Burns stated that there was a "real risk" that russia would use tactical nuclear weapons in the first months of a full-scale war in Ukraine.
ISW noted that russia is unlikely to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine or elsewhere.
