More like a request for weapons. Washington not impressed with Zelenskyy's victory plan

The Victory Plan that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy brought to the USA the day before failed to impress American officials. In their opinion, it is more like a request for additional weapons.

As RBC-Ukraine writes, this is reported in an article in The Wall Street Journal.

The publication spoke with a number of unnamed American officials. They expressed concern that Zelenskyy's plan does not contain a real strategy for ending the war against russia.

They told the WSJ that Zelenskyy has been trying to push the plan as the basis for Ukraine's victory for several months.

At the same time, there is allegedly no clear path to victory in Zelenskyy's plan, which worries Western officials even more, since the successes of the russian army on the front line continue.

The WSJ writes that one of the central points of Zelenskyy's plan is the lifting of restrictions on Ukraine's ability to use Western weapons to strike deep into russian territory.

US President Joseph Biden has been refusing to make concessions for several months, as Washington believes that strikes against the russian federation will not change the strategic situation.

American officials also fear that lifting the restrictions could push russia to escalate the war.

We will remind, on September 24, the Bloomberg agency reported with reference to its own sources that a number of Western leaders did not see a breakthrough in the war in Zelenskyy's peace plan.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on September 18, Zelenskyy announced that the plan for the victory of Ukraine is completely ready.

Zelenskyy explained that the victory plan prepared by him is a plan to strengthen Ukraine and does not require cooperation from the russians to achieve success.
