SPFU again cancels auction for privatization of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi seaport

The State Property Fund of Ukraine (USPA) has once again canceled the auction for the privatization of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi commercial sea port (Odesa Region).

This is stated in the message of the seaport, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"The hybrid Dutch auction was supposed to take place on September 24, 2024. According to the order of the regional branch of the USPA from September 20, 2024, the electronic auction has been canceled," the message reads.

The starting price of the seaport was UAH 88.99 million (without VAT).

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in March 2023, the State Property Fund determined LLC Ukrondinvest owned by businessman Vitalii Kropachov as the winner of the auction for the privatization of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi Commercial Sea Port with an offer of UAH 220 million.

However, the auction for the sale of the port was deemed not to have taken place because the previous winner had not paid for the facility.

After that, the SPFU repeatedly offered the seaport for privatization, but did not find anyone willing to buy it.
