In January-August 2024, compared to the same period of the previous year, the UkrGasVydobuvannya joint-stock company increased the production of gas (commodity) by 7.2% to 9.3 billion cubic meters.
The company has said this in a statement, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"Our plan for 2024 is ambitious, we forecast an increase in production by more than 500 million cubic meters of natural gas to the production rate of 2023, which was 13.224 billion cubic meters of commercial gas. However, it is worth acknowledging that production may also be affected by the security situation," said Serhii Lahno, the acting CEO of the company.
According to the report, within 8 months the company finished drilling 62 wells, 52 of which have been put into operation, one more well is in experimental and industrial operation.
"Of the new wells, 17 have a flow rate of more than 100,000 cubic meters per day. Also, at 6 operating wells, where operations were carried out to increase production, a gas flow rate of more than 100,000 cubic meters per day was achieved," the message states.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in 2023 UkrGasVydobuvannya increased its net profit by 4.5 times, or by UAH 10.1 billion, to UAH 13 billion compared to 2022.
Naftogaz plans to produce 15 billion cubic meters of gas in 2024 at the expense of the companies UkrGasVydobuvannya and Ukrnafta.
In 2023, UkrGasVydobuvannya produced 13.5 billion cubic meters of gas, and Ukrnafta increased gas production by 6% to 1.097 billion cubic meters.
UkrGasVydobuvannya is the largest gas producer in Ukraine, 100% of the company's shares belong to Naftogaz.
