On Tuesday, September 17, after a nighttime attack, russian troops during the day struck another blow with ballistic missiles against the energy infrastructure of the city of Sumy.
The head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Volodymyr Artiukh, announced this on the air of the national telethon, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"There is another missile attack on Sumy, there have already been four missiles. They are hitting the power system objects again," Artiukh said on the air of the telethon.
The head of the Regional Military Administration added that the consequences of the attack are being clarified.
It was previously reported that a nighttime drone attack caused a fire at two large power stations.
The Mayor of Sumy, Oleksandr Lysenko, in connection with another attack by the enemy, urged the residents of the city to stock up on water and, if there is electricity, to charge their gadgets just in case.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of September 17, the Sumy Region suffered a massive airstrike aimed at the energy system.
Energy system objects were attacked by enemy Shaheds; the settlements of the Konotop, Okhtyrka and Sumy Districts were affected.
