In the evening of September 16, the russian occupation forces launched groups of attack drones on the territory of Ukraine. Sumy was subjected to a massive attack by UAVs, as well as an air strike, an enemy drone also hit Konotop, there is a hit.
It was reported by the Air Forces and the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
As the military noted, around 8:16 p.m., it became known about the first drones moving from the Sumy Region towards the Kharkiv Region.
As of 10:33 p.m., russian Shaheds were moving:
- in the Sumy Region in the direction of the Chernihiv Region,
- in the Poltava Region and continued moving in the direction of the Kyiv Region.
Also, at 01:29 a.m., a group of drones was in the Kherson Region and kept a northwesterly course in the direction of Voznesensk.
In the first half of September, the russian occupiers launched 640 Shahed attack drones over the territory of Ukraine, most of which were shot down by the air defense forces.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of September 12, radio engineering troops of the Air Forces detected and escorted 69 enemy air attack vehicles (as of 9:00 a.m.).
