Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU), Semen Kryvonos, refused to comment on the issue of the NABU international audit.
He said this while answering questions from the Ukrainian News Agency.
Answering a question on the sidelines of the event with the participation of international guests, "Ukraine on the Road to OECD and Accession to OECD Anti-Bribery Convention", the director of NABU noted that questions about international audit should be addressed to the Cabinet of Ministers.
"This is a question for the Cabinet of Ministers," Kryvonos said.
Thus, the director of NABU responded to the question of when to expect an audit of the bureau, which will be conducted by international experts, and how he can comment on the government's decision to appoint three international auditors.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy hopes that the international audit of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau will be conducted this year.
In May of this year, NABU got into a scandal due to the leaking of data in cases and involvement in the leaking of NABU management, in particular the first deputy director of NABU Gizo Uglava. Subsequently, he was removed from his position during the official investigation and pre-trial investigation of the criminal proceedings. At the beginning of August, the official investigation into the data leak was completed, but its results are still unknown to the public.
