President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that on September 3, a russian missile reached Poltava in 3 minutes. According to the available data, people reacted to the danger, but did not have time to go down to the bomb shelters.

He said this in an interview with NBC News.

"Another tragedy in Ukraine. It was a missile strike, a calculated strike. The missile flew - now there is information - for about 3 minutes, so people did not have time to go down to the bomb shelters. And now it is believed that many of them were wounded or killed at the very moment of their going down to bomb shelters," he said.

According to him, people reacted quickly enough to the danger, but they "didn't manage to save themselves."
