Ukraine cuts electricity imports by 43% in August

In August, compared to July, Ukraine reduced electricity imports by 43% to 474,000 MWh.

Compared to August 2023, the import of electricity increased 4 times.

Import of electricity from Poland decreased the most, by 57.5% to 48,200 MWh.

At the same time, Hungary has the largest share in the import structure - 43%.

In June-August, more than 2.1 million MWh of electricity was imported, which is almost three times more than the total volume of imports for the whole of 2023.

There will be no electricity export from May 12, 2024.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in July, Ukraine reduced electricity imports by 2%.
