Defense Minister of Ukraine Rustem Umierov has submitted to the White House a list of targets on the territory of the russian federation that the Defense Forces want to attack with American long-range ATACMS missiles.
He stated this in an interview with CNN.
"We have explained what kind of capabilities we need to protect the citizens against the Russian terror that Russians are causing us, so I hope we were heard," Umierov said.
First of all, Ukraine wants to attack military airfields from which planes take off and then hit Ukrainian cities. In addition, Ukraine insists that restrictions on the use of ATACMS on the territory of the russian federation should be removed altogether.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, there are 245 russian military and paramilitary facilities within the range of ATACMS missiles. Only 16 of them are air bases from which planes have already been removed. Ukraine could strike these objects if the U.S. agreed to it.
After Ukraine received ATACMS missiles, russia moved 90% of its aircraft that were at airfields in the zone affected by these missiles.
