Russia removes its aircraft from military bases that were within ATACMS range

After Ukraine received ATACMS missiles, russia moved 90% of its aircraft that were at airfields in the zone affected by these missiles.

The Wall Street Journal writes about this with reference to its sources.

It states that the Biden administration does not plan to change its position on ATACMS missiles despite calls from Ukraine and the recent large-scale shelling.

The unnamed source of the publication believes that under such conditions, Ukrainian drones will be more effective in hitting targets in russia.

While the U.S. has increased ATACMS production, supplies are still limited and the Pentagon only has so much to provide to Ukraine, the official said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, 245 russian military and paramilitary facilities are within the range of ATACMS missiles. Only 16 of them are air bases from which planes have already been removed. Ukraine could strike these objects if the US agreed to it.
