Podoliak denies his own statement about stopping transit of russian oil from 2025

Mykhailo Podoliak, adviser to the head of the President's Office, said that Ukraine will fulfill its obligations regarding the transit of russian oil to Europe in full before the contracts expire.

Economic Pravda reports this with reference to a Podoliak's statement, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"At the same time, Ukraine fulfilled and will fulfill its contractual obligations in full until the scheduled expiration date of such contracts. Because this concerns our bilateral relations with European countries," Podoliak emphasized.

At the same time, he added that Ukraine supports the European Commission in its efforts to diversify the supply of oil for some countries in the region in order to reduce or completely remove the presence of russian oil.

Therefore, Ukraine will continue oil transit to Europe until the end of 2029.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Podoliak previously announced that starting in January 2025, Ukraine will stop transporting russian oil through its territory through the main Druzhba oil pipeline.
