Ukraine will stop transit of russian oil from 2025 - Podoliak

From January 2025, Ukraine will stop transporting russian oil through its territory through the main oil pipeline Druzhba.

Advisor to the head of the Office of the President, Mykhailo Podoliak, said this in an interview with Novyny.Live, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"From January 1, 2025, the Druzhba oil pipeline will stop working, because some countries received Russian oil through this pipeline. These are primarily Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary. They received, but there was an EU resolution that they should find opportunities to diversify oil supplies and stop the transit of russian oil through Ukraine. This also applies to gas. There were certain contracts, they were contracted until January 1, 2025... but it will definitely end on January 1, 2025," he said.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in July the russian Lukoil stopped supplying oil to Hungary and Slovakia due to increased sanctions on the part of Ukraine.
