Netherlands did not impose any restrictions on use of F-16

Ukraine can use the F-16 fighter jets provided by the Netherlands for strikes on russian territory, the Netherlands "did not impose any restrictions on the use and flight range of the F-16".

General of the Royal Netherlands Air Force Onno Eichelsheim said this in an interview with NOS.

"Ukraine can use the resources we provide as it wishes, provided the laws of war are observed," Eichelsheim stressed.

He also commented on Ukraine's offensive on the Kursk Oblast of the russian federation, calling the operation of Ukrainian forces "brilliant on a practical level."

"They quickly occupied a large area in a good way, using new technologies. In doing so, they created a dilemma for putin," Eichelsheim said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine has already deployed F-16 fighter jets to repel a massive russian attack on August 26. The Ukrainian military shot down some missiles with the help of these planes.

The United States of America has equipped Ukrainian F-16 fighter jets with a special EW countermeasures upgrade designed to counter russian air defense systems.
