The Cabinet of Ministers has extended the special preferential gas price for heat producers and household consumers until April 30, 2025.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"Today, the government extended the special preferential price for gas for heat producers and household consumers. The decision will be valid until April 30, 2025, that is, until the end of the next heating season. We are doing everything possible so that every Ukrainian home has light and heat this winter," he wrote.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in April, the Naftogaz of Ukraine gas supply company, guided by the current moratorium on price increases, extended the "Fixed" tariff plan for another year, thus the price of gas for the population will remain at the level of UAH 7.96/cubic meter until April 30, 2025 (inclusive).
On April 12, the Cabinet of Ministers extended the imposition of public service obligations (PSO) on Naftogaz of Ukraine on the gas market until August 31.
