President Volodymyr Zelenskyy created a delegation for negotiations with Great Britain regarding the preparation for the conclusion of an agreement on the transition from a strategic partnership to a new level of relations.

This is stated in order No. 83 of August 12, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Zelenskyy appointed the head of the Office of the President Andrii Yermak as the head of the delegation.

The delegation includes, among others, Ambassador of Ukraine to Great Britain Valerii Zaluzhnyi, head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Maliuk, head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine Oleh Ivashchenko, director general of the Ukrainian Defense Industry joint-stock company Herman Smetanin.

Zelenskyy also approved the directives of the delegation for negotiations.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in July, Zelenskyy visited Great Britain to participate in the summit of the European Political Community and sign new security agreements.

During his visit, in particular, Ukraine agreed with Great Britain on a loan in the amount of GBP 2 billion to finance defense needs.
