President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Great Britain to participate in the summit of the European Political Community and to sign new security agreements.
Zelenskyy announced this in his Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"The countries of the European space are gathering for the fourth time at the summit of the European Political Community to discuss common topics and challenges. I came to Great Britain to participate in the summit, bilateral meetings with partners, and sign new security agreements," he said.
Zelenskyy plans to meet with King Charles III, Prime Minister Keir Starmer, government officials, heads of defense companies.
During his visit, it is planned to sign an intergovernmental agreement on the support of the Ukrainian defense industry. The President will discuss future defense cooperation and the expansion of defense capabilities.
"From the first days of the full-scale invasion, Great Britain was one step ahead in its determination to support Ukraine. It is this determination that is needed to stop russian terror," Zelenskyy said.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in July, the former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi officially began to perform the duties of the Ambassador of Ukraine to Great Britain.
