On August 11, Ukraine provided emergency assistance to Poland's power system by accepting excess electricity.
The press service of the Ukrenergo national energy company has said this in a statement, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
According to the report, due to the heat, electricity consumption at the end of the week and on the morning of Monday, August 12, increased compared to the same period last week.
"Yesterday, Sunday, August 11, consumption peaked in the evening. It was 2.7% higher than the evening peak last Sunday, August 4. Today, as of 9:30 a.m., consumption is 1.3% higher than last Monday's corresponding figure of August 5, at the same time," the message reads.
Restriction measures are not expected to be applied on Monday.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Ukraine has lost 9 GW of capacity since the end of March due to russian shelling.
