Satellite image of destroyed ammunition depot at Lipetsk airfield attacked at night of August 8-9 published

A satellite image of the aerial weapons at the Lipetsk military airfield in the Lipetsk Oblast of the aggressor country of russia has appeared online. On the night of August 8-9, it was attacked by Ukrainian drones.

The corresponding picture was published on X (formerly Twitter) by an OSINT analyst with the nickname MT Anderson.

First, the analyst published an archival picture of this warehouse, found on the map of the Google Earth service. It is dated October 7, 2021.

And this is what the depot looks like in the picture of the Airbus service, which was taken this morning, August 9.

Part of the surface is covered by a cloud. The shadow falling from it also covered part of the object. But in the place where there is no cloud and no shadow from it, you can see that the depot is completely destroyed.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of August 8-9, the Lipetsk military airfield suffered a massive attack by drones. According to information from local residents, after the attack, a fire and ammunition detonation began at the airfield.

Later, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed this information, noting that as a result of the attack on the Lipetsk airfield, a depot of aerial weapons, including guided aerial bombs, was damaged.

We will remind you that on August 3, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the Morozovsk military airfield in the Rostov Oblast of the russian federation. A depot of aerial weapons was also destroyed there.
