AFU General Staff announces successful attack on Lipetsk military airfield in russia

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) announced the successful destruction of the military airfield, Lipetsk (Lipetsk Oblast, russia).

This follows from a statement by the AFU General Staff posted on Telegram, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"Tonight, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked the airfield Lipetsk (Lipetsk Oblast, russia). During the attack, warehouses with guided aerial bombs and a number of other objects in the area of ​​the airfield were hit. Several sources of ignition were recorded, a strong fire broke out, and observed multiple detonations were observed. It is known that the Su-34, Su-35, and MiG-31 aircraft of the russian Air and Space Forces are based at the airfield Lipetsk.

It is noted that the results of the damage are being clarified.

In addition, the General Staff reported that the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the anti-aircraft missile divisions of the russian federation in the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region; in particular, combat work was carried out against three enemy radars: two from the S-350 complexes and one from the S-300.

An accurate hit and destruction of one S-350 air defense system radar has been confirmed. Regarding the other two targets, the information is currently being clarified. At the same time, it was recorded that all three enemy radars stopped working after the strikes," the message says.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, russian Telegram channels reported on Friday, August 9, that a large fire broke out at a military airfield in the Lipetsk Oblast of the russian federation after a drone attack.
