One of the most equipped units of the Ukrainian army is participating in the military operation of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk Oblast of the aggressor country russia. It is the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It was reported by the American publication Forbes.
A few days ago, a video appeared online with Ukrainian military personnel equipped with both Soviet and Western-made equipment.
In the video, you can see T-64 and T-80 tanks, UR-77 mine-clearing vehicles and American-made Stryker armored personnel carriers.

As the publication reports, this combination of equipment is in service only with the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The fact that this particular brigade was transferred to the Kursk Oblast is also evidenced by a video captured by a russian drone camera. The video shows strikes on German Marder infantry fighting vehicles handed over to Ukraine.
"The 80th Air Assault Brigade, like its sister unit the 82nd Air Assault Brigade, apparently operates Marders alongside its Strykers. The Marders are heavy. The Strykers are fast. They suit the Ukrainian air assault forces’ preference for swift but powerful attacks,” the publication informs.
The author of the article notes that the participation of one of the best brigades of the Ukrainian army in the offensive on the Kursk Oblast emphasizes the scale of this military operation.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of August 8-9, the Armed Forces of Ukraine covered a convoy of russian troops in the Kursk Oblast, which was transporting about a battalion of soldiers.
Recall that a day earlier, the American publication The Washington Post reported with reference to its own sources that the operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk Oblast turned out to be much more successful than initially expected in Kyiv.
Besides, in just a few days of the offensive in the Kursk Oblast, the Ukrainian military managed to take several hundred captured soldiers of the russian army.
