Russian media reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) destroyed a military convoy of the aggressor state, russia, in the Kursk Oblast 30 kilometers from the border overnight into August 9.
This was reported by the russian telegram channel, Agenstvo.Novosti.
For example, a video of an allegedly burning convoy of russian military equipment in the Kursk Oblast appeared on Telegram.
OSINT analysts said that the video was shot on the route that before the war connected Ukrainian Hlukhiv and Kursk and passes through Rylsk and Lhov. The column was allegedly attacked in the village of Zhovtneve, located 8 km from Rylsk.
It is indicated that the place of the strike is located 30 km from the border and 20 km from the nearest point where, according to the reports of russian military bloggers, fighting is going on - the urban-type village of Koreneve.
According to the Voenny Osvedomitel channel, the Ukrainian military allegedly used HIMARS installations, but there is no confirmation of this information.
In addition, later Agenstvo.Novosti stated that with the help of Google Maps panoramas, it was confirmed that the shooting location is the village of Zhovtneve, Rylsk District, Kursk Oblast.
The mass media also published a video allegedly showing the consequences of the defeat of the convoy, in which more than ten burned trucks can be seen. Inside some of them, the bodies of the russian military can be seen. According to military analyst Yan Matveev, an entire battalion was destroyed.
"This is one of the bloodiest and most massive strikes (most likely HIMARS) in the entire war," he said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the AFU adviser to the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said in a comment to The Washington Post on the condition of anonymity that hundreds of soldiers were captured during the three days of fighting in the Kursk Oblast.
Earlier, the russian media wrote that the AFU, which is conducting an offensive in the Kursk Oblast of the russian federation, allegedly occupied the outskirts of Sudzha and approached Koreneve. The AFU allegedly took control of the Sudzha gas measuring station, through which gas is transited to Europe via Ukraine.
