Russia's losses in the war in Ukraine as of the morning of Thursday, August 8, are 1,140 occupiers. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine downed a plane and a helicopter.
This was announced on Facebook by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022 to August 08, 2024 approximately amounted to:
- personnel - about 587,510 (+1,140) persons were eliminated;
- tanks - 8,431 (+2) units;
- armored fighting vehicles - 16,332 (+9) units;
- artillery systems - 16,487 (+36) units;
- MLRS - 1,142 (+4) units;
- air defense equipment - 914 (+4) units;
- aircraft - 366 (+1) units;
- helicopters - 327 (+1) units;
- UAVs of the operational-tactical level - 13,293 (+81) units;
- cruise missiles - 2,424 (+3) units;
- ships/boats - 28 units;
- submarines - 1 unit;
- automotive equipment and tank trucks - 22,285 (+59) units;
- special equipment - 2,767 (+8) units.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, analysts of the Ukrainian OSINT project DeepState analyzed photo and video footage from the Kursk Oblast and concluded that the russian invaders lost at least two tanks and an attack helicopter.
At the same time, the SSU shot down a russian Mi-28 helicopter over the Kursk Oblast with the help of a drone.
