Interstate transmission line with Moldova in south was shut down - Energy Ministry

Yesterday, the high-voltage overhead line connecting the energy systems of Ukraine and Moldova was briefly shut down in the south.

This was announced by the Ministry of Energy, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

At present, power to the power line has been restored.

"In the central region, high-voltage substations, household consumers, as well as the railway were partially de-energized (there were no disruptions to the movement of trains). Power has been restored to all consumers. In the western region, sub-stations, household and industrial consumers in the Rivne and Zhytomyr Regions were de-energized. Power has been restored," the statement said.

Several substations, household consumers, and mines were cut off as a result of hostilities in the Donetsk Region.

A total of 118 people were in the mines at the time of the incident, power has now been restored.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Ukraine has lost 9 GW of capacity since the end of March due to russian shelling.
