In July, the export of Ukrainian products in monetary terms increased by 11% to USD 3 billion.
This follows from a statement by the Ministry of Economy, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"Ukraine exported goods worth almost USD 3 billion in July of this year. At the same time, the physical volume of exports in July is 0.6% less than in June, which is due to a seasonal change in agricultural crops that are exported. In general, in July compared to the previous month, Ukrainian exports increased by 9%. The EU remains the largest trading partner of Ukraine - 56% of exports from Ukraine go to European markets. China, Egypt, Turkiye and India are the leading importers of products from Ukraine outside the European Union, as well as the Mediterranean countries. In particular, the development of the network of free trade agreements with the Mediterranean countries is a priority of the government," said Deputy Minister of Economy - Trade Representative Taras Kachka.
Among the countries of the European Union, the leaders in the import of Ukrainian products are Poland (USD 358 million), Spain (USD 190 million), Germany USD 178 million), the Netherlands (USD 147 million), Italy (USD 136 million).
Apart from the EU, most Ukrainian products are exported to China – USD 175 million (-3.1%), Egypt – USD 143 million (+17.5%), Turkiye – USD 134 million (+32.7%), India – USD 89 million (+137%).
According to the report, in the agricultural sector, Ukraine exported in July:
- wheat - 1.58 million tons, which is almost twice as much as in July last year;
- rapeseed – 277,000 tons, which is 13.5% more than in July last year;
- barley - 580,000 tons, which is almost twice as much as in July last year;
- corn – 1.56 million tons, which is 44.4% less than in June.
At the same time, industrial products in the structure of Ukrainian exports are dominated by: iron ores and concentrates – USD 229 million (2.5 million tons); furniture – USD 37.9 million (18.9 tons) and semi-finished products from iron – 219,000 tons (USD 109.4 million), which is 83.1% more than in June.
In July, Ukraine supplied and exported the following goods:
- by sea transport – 6.25 million tons, 0.4% less than in June;
- by rail transport – 2.6 million tons, 3% less than in June;
- by road transport – 825,000 tons, which is 5.5% more than in June.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in June, compared to May, the export of Ukrainian products decreased by 20.2% to 9.7 million tons, while in monetary terms it decreased by 18.4% to USD 2.7 billion.
