Over the past week, russia has dropped more than 600 guided aerial bombs on Ukraine. Military of the terrorist state attacked civilians in the Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Donetsk Regions and other regions of our country.
And this terror can be stopped by destroying russian aircraft not only in Ukrainian skies, but also on russian airfields, by all available means, all that is needed is a joint decision with Western partners. The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, is convinced of this.
Traditionally, in his Telegram channel, the head of state showed photos and videos of the consequences of russian shelling in Ukraine. Mutilated houses, burned cars, deep ravines, fires at critical infrastructure facilities, and innocent victims of russian aggression were a daily reality for Ukrainians in the last days of July and the beginning of August.
The President is sure: it is necessary to put an end to russian terror. So defeating enemy military aircraft is one of the priority tasks for the Defense Forces.
"Russian combat aircraft must be destroyed where they are, by all effective means. Hitting russian airfields is also quite fair. And we need this joint solution with our partners - a security solution. This is the only way to really ensure protection for our people," Zelenskyy noted.
Currently, Western partners, primarily the United States, have established strict restrictions on the use of Western weapons for strikes on military targets on the territory of the russian federation. In particular, due to these restrictions, russian airfields, from where planes take off to strike Ukraine, are out of the hit zone. And so they continue the terror.
"Just this week, russia used more than 600 guided aerial bombs against Ukraine. We must stop this daily russian terror with joint strong decisions," Zelenskyy urged.
We will remind, as reported by the Ukrainian News Agency, since the Defense Forces cannot use Western weapons to attack russian airfields, they do it with their own means, in particular drones. So, overnight into August 3, strong explosions rang out near the military airfield of the russian occupiers Morozovsk in the Rostov Oblast.
