On August 2, the members of the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities (Energy Commission), elected Yurii Vlasenko as the head of the commission.
This is stated in the message of the commission, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"Yurii Vlasenko has more than 20 years of experience in the energy industry. In particular, he worked in various positions at the Electricity Regulatory Commission and the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities," the report says.
From May 2021 to July 2024, he worked as the First Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on July 30, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Ruslan Slobodian and Yurii Vlasenko as members of the Energy Commission.
Also, the Cabinet of Ministers dismissed Vlasenko from the position of First Deputy Minister of Energy, and Slobodian from the position of the head of the State Energy Supervision Inspectorate.
On March 3, the members of the Energy Commission re-elected Valerii Tarasiuk as the head of the commission.
