The lawyer of the suspect in the murder of the professor and linguist Iryna Farion, Ihor Sulyma, does not rule out that she could have been killed by a woman and that it is necessary to look for her, and not to focus the investigation on his client.
He said this in an interview with Ukrainian News Agency.
"It is already necessary to ask him (whether he is covering for someone, - ed.). Everything is possible. We can take any version and it will have the right to live. Another question is whether this version will be confirmed. We can put forward the version that it was show, we can put forward the version that it was several people. It is possible that it was a woman. Everything is possible," the lawyer said.
He is surprised that the investigation stopped at his client and does not move forward.
"The pre-trial investigation continues only on my client. And if it's not him? What will you collect after six months or a year? Nothing. Who will you find in a year? Nobody. If someone else did it, he is simply no longer in Ukraine. And who in our country can safely leave Ukraine now? Woman. No one paid attention to outsiders who walked there and were caught on camera. A woman passed there, someone else passed there, and so on. Everyone paid attention to my client because he is a criminal who allegedly wants to kill someone and dresses like a clown," the defense lawyer was indignant.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the suspect in the murder of Farion is sure that he did not do it. He refused to testify. The lawyer of the suspect in the murder of Farion spoke about the similarity of the case with the murder of Sheremet.
