Head of French Interior Ministry was sent letter with traces of plague - media

In France, on Saturday, July 27, police intercepted a letter addressed to the country's interior minister, Gérald Darmanin, who may be infected with the plague.

This was reported by Le Figaro.

So, the envelope was found in the sorting center in the city of Longvic. Black powder was found in it.

Initial tests showed a positive result for the plague. More in-depth analyzes are currently underway to confirm or refute the initial findings. Results are expected on the evening of Monday, July 29.

"This may be a false positive result," the prosecutor's office explained to the publication.

It is also noted that racial insults to the minister were written in the letter.

So far, the author of this suspicious letter has not been identified. The prosecutor's office asked the police to find the addressee.

As Ukrainian News Agency reported, earlier the Minister of the Interior of France, Gérald Darmanin, said that approximately one thousand people were not allowed to the Olympic Games in Paris due to suspicion of espionage.
