The head of the trade union of Dnipro motor carriers and local activist Mykhailo Tonkonohyi, who disappeared the day before, was found dead.
This was announced by the former head of the Soborna District Council of the city, Artem Timariev.
"Rest in peace, Myshko. Mykhailo Tonkonohyi was a bright Personality. Condolences to relatives and friends," Timariev wrote on Facebook.
To a clarifying question in the comments as to whether the head of the trade union was killed, Timariev noted that there were signs of violent death on the body of the deceased.
"Criminalists are working, there are preliminary signs of a violent death," he wrote.

According to the local police, the statement about the disappearance of Mykhailo Tonkonohyi was received from his mother on July 23. It was also reported that the cameras recorded how the activist in his own car was moving towards the exit from the city.
As previously reported, on July 19, around 7:30 p.m., a brazen murder took place in Lviv. On Masaryka Street, an unknown person shot Iryna Farion with a firearm. As a result of the shooting, Farion received a severe head injury. She was hospitalized at the Saint Panteleimon Hospital, where she was in intensive care for some time. Despite the efforts of doctors, Iryna Farion died three hours after the attempt.
