The election campaign of US Vice President Kamala Harris has already collected USD 100 million since she entered the presidential race.

This was reported by ABC News with reference to representatives of the Harris election campaign.

"Vice President Harris' historic support represents exactly the kind of energy and enthusiasm that wins elections," Harris press secretary Kevin Munoz said.

The amount includes donations raised by the campaign, the Democratic National Committee and joint fundraising committees.

ABC News noted that this information cannot yet be independently verified. The exact amount of collected donations will be known after publication in the Federal Election Commission.

In addition, about 58,000 people signed up to participate in the Harris campaign as volunteers.

It will be recalled that a few hours ago, Harris' election campaign announced the collection of USD 81 million in donations.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 21, incumbent US President Joe Biden announced his withdrawal from the presidential race.

On the same day, Biden endorsed the candidacy of Kamala Harris as the Democratic presidential candidate.

In addition, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said that it will be easier to defeat Harris in the election than Biden.
