As of July 19, agricultural enterprises harvested 15.7 million tons of grain and oil-bearing crops from an area of 4,403,000 hectares.
This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Currently, 10.3 million tons of wheat have been threshed on an area of 2,626,500 hectares, 3.1 million tons of barley have been harvested from an area of 824,200 hectares, and 319,300 tons of peas have been harvested from an area of 154,700 hectares.
In addition, 1.8 million tons of rapeseed have been threshed on an area of 779,100 hectares and 290 tons of soybeans on an area of 150 hectares.
Farmers of the Odesa Region (629,400 hectares threshed), Dnipropetrovsk Region (544,200) and Mykolaiv Region (527,500) are the leaders in grain harvesting.
The Ivano-Frankivsk Region is the leader in yield with an indicator of 65.1 centners per hectare.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, farmers have started harvesting early crops.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food predicts a decrease in the harvest of grain and leguminous crops by 6.7% to 56 million tons in 2024 compared to 2023.
