President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that the investigation is considering all versions of Iryna Farion's murder.
The Head of State announced this on his Telegram channel.
"In the morning, there were new reports from the Minister of Interior Affairs Ihor Klymenko and the head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Maliuk regarding the investigation into the murder of Iryna Farion.
All available surveillance cameras are being worked on, witness interviews are ongoing, and the territory of several districts is being surveyed. All versions are being investigated, including the one that leads to Russia," the message says.
As Zelenskyy said, all the necessary forces of the National Police of Ukraine and the SSU were involved in the search for the criminal. The Minister of Interiorl Affairs, deputies of the Prosecutor General and heads of the National Police of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine are on site in Lviv.
"I am grateful to everyone who helps the investigation. My condolences to the family and all the relatives of Iryna Farion," added the President.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the evening of July 19 in Lviv, an unknown person shot Iryna Farion on Masaryka Street.
According to local media, the shooter was seen by neighbors. A 20-25-year-old man shot at Farion. He was waiting for her at the exit, he had a gun without a silencer, he was wearing gloves.
Doctors hospitalized the linguist with a head injury. Doctors conducted a surgery, but it was not possible to save her life.
