The profile of the scandalous Member of Parliament Maryana Bezuhla, who is the deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, appeared in the Myrotvorets database.
As indicated in the profile, Bezuhla is included in the database for conscious public actions aimed at discrediting the state authorities of Ukraine, discrediting, demoralizing and hindering the activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), splitting civil society, disseminating information containing state secrets and being used by russia in the information war against Ukraine.
It is also indicated that since 2022, Bezuhla is the most quoted Ukrainian politician by russian propagandists. For example, hostile mass media and Telegram channels actively use her critical statements about the military command of Ukraine, "record losses of the AFU", the alleged readiness of the command to sign "any variations of the surrender of Ukraine."
During 2023, many polls with rather provocative questions, which the MP published on her Facebook, promptly appeared in the russian media and Telegram channels. For example, Bezuhla asked whether her subscribers wanted MPs to die, whether people wanted MPs to be in prison or to go to the front. She also asked subscribers whether they were ready to renounce their citizenship so that they would not be mobilized for rear-line positions and defense enterprises, and also proposed to introduce mandatory mobilization of women.
On July 15, Bezuhla was recalled from the post of chairman of the Verkhovna Rada's subcommittee on democratic civil control.
As previously reported, Bezuhla was among the top 5 Ukrainian public figures most often quoted by russian propaganda. The rating was made by the research and analytical group InfoLight.UA.
Bezuhla became known to the general public in late 2023, when she started a discrediting campaign against the then Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi. Now she also criticizes the current Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, whom she positively evaluated before his appointment.
The MP systematically discredits the institutions most trusted by Ukrainian society: the Armed Forces of Ukraine, military command, volunteers, and independent media. At the same time, information operations coincide in time with the intensification of the actions of the occupation army of the russian federation. In the Verkhovna Rada, Bezuhla was remembered for the bill that she proposed to allow commanders to use firearms against subordinates, as well as for the project that would introduce life imprisonment for "assigning state functions."
