In January-June 2024, compared to the same period last year, the UkrGasVydobuvannya joint-stock company increased the production of gas (commodity) by 8.8% to 6.913 billion cubic meters.
The company has said this in a statement, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"In UkrGasVydobuvannya, 41 new wells were put into operation, of which 14 are high-flow wells. So, for example, the daily flow rate of one of the last wells exceeds 400,000 cubic meters. These are very good results, which were achieved thanks to the complex work of the team," noted the provisional Director General of the company Serhii Lahno.
He added that in six months the team managed to drill 165,864 meters of penetration, which is 9,117 meters more than last year's figure for this period.
"We also have good indicators of gas production at old, modernized wells. UkrGasVydobuvannya is introducing new technologies, expanding and keeping pace with the world," Lahno said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in 2023 UkrGasVydobuvannya increased its net profit by 4.5 times, or by UAH 10.1 billion, to UAH 13 billion compared to 2022.
Naftogaz plans to extract 15 billion cubic meters of gas in 2024 at the expense of the companies UkrGasVydobuvannya and Ukrnafta.
In 2023, UkrGasVydobuvannya produced 13.5 billion cubic meters of gas, and Ukrnafta increased gas production by 6% to 1.097 billion cubic meters.
