President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that "everything is going according to plan" regarding the mobilization of the army.
Zelenskyy said this at a press conference, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"The military says everything is going according to their plan," he said.
At the same time, Zelenskyy noted that there are not enough training grounds for training the military in Ukraine.
"As for training grounds, they are not enough. As for whether they can be expanded, expansion is already underway. As for whether it is possible to expand the base abroad, yes, and this is one of the decisions of our bilateral agreement with Poland," the President said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the law on mobilization entered into force on May 18.
July 16 is the end of the two-month period during which the men, according to the law, had to update their military registration data.
The security agreement signed with Poland on July 8 provides for the training of a "Ukrainian legion" of Ukrainians who are currently abroad on the territory of Poland.
