As of July 12, agricultural enterprises harvested 9.5 million tons of grain and oil-bearing crops from an area of 2,781,000 hectares
This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Currently, 5.7 million tons of wheat have been threshed on an area of 1,508,900 hectares, 2.4 million tons of barley have been harvested from an area of 642,300 hectares, and 260,900 tons of peas have been harvested from an area of 127,300 hectares.
In addition, 1,085,200 tons of rapeseed have been threshed on an area of 499,600 hectares and 300 tons of soybeans on an area of 200 hectares.
Farmers of the Mykolaiv Region (484,100 threshed), Odesa Region (464,500 hectares threshed) and Dnipropetrovsk Region hectares (319,400) are the leaders in grain harvesting.
The Ivano-Frankivsk Region is the leader in yield with an indicator of 66.6 centners per hectare.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, farmers have started harvesting early crops.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food predicts a decrease in the harvest of grain and leguminous crops by 6.7% to 56 million tons in 2024 compared to 2023.
