The X social network (formerly Twitter) marked as "spam" and "dangerous content" Bellingcat's investigation into the July 8 missile attack by the russian occupation army on the Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital in Kyiv.
The Record portal wrote about this with a link to a message from the Bellingcat account in X.
In their recent research, the Bellingcat group identified the russian Kh-101 cruise missile that hit one of the buildings of the Okhmatdyt Hospital last Monday.
Bellingcat researchers said their work refutes russian propaganda reports that the hospital incident was caused by an alleged fall of a Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile.
Despite Bellingcat's reputation, X marked the link to the investigation into missile strike on Okhmatdyt as "dangerous". The social network said it could allegedly lead users to "violent or misleading content" or to a site with misleading content.
Bellingcat investigators said they reported the problem to the X administration, but as of July 10, the link was still marked as spam.
Bellingcat emphasized that a similar problem was not noticed on other social networks.
The link to this article is still being miscategorized as spam despite our reports to X. This hasn't been the case on other platforms. If you want to go direct to our website you can at https://t.co/Iku8Mo9yf5 and you'll find the investigation on our front page. https://t.co/AwrXVeZu4R

Bellingcat founder Eliot Higgins commented on the X situation, saying that the link to the article about the russian missile strike on a hospital in Kyiv was the only one that had a spam warning.
"You have to wonder if this is deliberate censorship on the part of a self-proclaimed free speech absolutist," Higgins wrote on his X account.
He added that this is not the first time Bellingcat has been censored by the social network in the "Elon Musk era."
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 8, the Security Service of Ukraine established that the attack on the Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital was carried out by an Kh-101 cruise missile.
We will remind, the experts of the Defense Express portal stated that the russians carried out a targeted attack on the hospital, as evidenced by the course of the missile and the way it flew in the direction of Okhmatdyt.
In addition, on July 9, the SSU announced that it had received new evidence that the Kh-101 missile had hit the children's hospital.
